A very early idea was to record my instruments on tape, and develop tape loops from them. Even though we ultimately didn’t produce the tracks this way, we still wanted to maintain a deliberately lo-fi sound as well as getting the idea to develop sustained, droned notes from tape looping methods. Though I approached all of this a lot more technically then narratively, it was a pleasant surprise to hear how each tonal and harmonic palette reflected what would be going on in Kasio’s head as she erases a bit too accurately. (4/4)
